This was an interesting YouTube video. You know a lot of people say that actions speak louder than words, but this video used the words written down with silence to get the message through to the viewer. I agreed with the majority of the opinions and assumptions. I have heard of so many people saying that they are on facebook while they're in class. I've watched other people texting or even playing sudoku while they should be paying attention to what the professor is saying. Yet those are the students that wonder why they are failing the class. I recently heard someone say that if it wouldn't be appropriate to do a crossword then whatever else you're planning on doing isn't either. Too many people are going into debt to go to school, get their degree and then they can't get into the field they studied. Or everything they learned isn't applicable to what they will be doing when they get into the field. The amount of debt that students' graduate with is unbelievable! If more of us became educated about financial decisions from a young age we would learn to tell our money what to do instead of the other way around.
While the video brought up many good points about today's students, I feel like the main point is that our society is getting to wrapped up in technology to appreciate the real things in life. We are spiraling down and the morality of people keeps getting worse. We need to take responsibility for our lives instead of just lying back, letting them pass us by and then wonder how we got to this point.
